The world’s first marketing and sales toolkit for the iPhone is to be released next month (November).
Developed by Professor Malcolm McDonald, with the help of MDB Consulting, it will aim to offer leaders from companies of any size access via the iTunes store to seven valuable marketing and sales audit exercises with reference material included for assistance.
With CEOs and business leaders spending a large portion of their business life on the road travelling between meetings, it will help users to check their company’s health and make corrective actions through emailing the results directly to a colleague from the device.
The marketing and sales toolkit will be charged at only £9.99 and could be soon be a must have for Directors in all organisations as well as students keen to further their research in vital business disciplines.
The application once downloaded from Apple will offer subscribers: Marketing audit questionnaire; Sales gap analysis; Profit Forecast gap analysis; market segmentation exercise; sales and marketing evaluation; SWOT analysis; the ability to set marketing and sales objectives; and, regular updates through RSS feeds from Professor McDonald’s website and marketing sites
”With time pressure on executives and students as well as extra pressures of improving productivity and value, having this extensive marketing audit at their fingertips with the ability to send results and actions to colleagues from the device will create one of the most valuable applications ever seen on a mobile device,” said Professor McDonald
The application will soon be available on the emerging Google Android phone to cater for a wider user base. Apple has proved that applications are far easier for consumers to use as opposed to browsing the internet on a mobile phone which can be slow and difficult to navigate.
Using MDB’s unique content management system, Lifelyte, Professor McDonald was able to easily specify functionality requirements for his own content allowing MDB to very quickly create the iPhone interface and navigation process.
Content specific to the iPhone could also be added using the easy-to-use editing tool, which is similar to Word as well as copying web URLs and RSS feeds from complimentary sites.
MDB is managing the entire submission process as well as any future upgrades and functionality improvements. Being a web-based system it allows Professor McDonald to update the content whenever and wherever required.
