The London Museum Hub has wrapped a London bus to help raise awareness of the capital’s non-national museums.
This is the first time a bus wrap has been used to promote the cultural diversity of London’s many independent museums.
Starting this month (March), the year long bus campaign, planned by Posterscope and Total Media, will see the bus travelling across central London and the West-end wrapped in an intriguing creative (by Roundel) to help highlight that there are over 250 museums in the city.
The five-figure campaign will showcase images of historic artefacts and ask consumers thought-provoking questions encouraging them to visit culture24.org.uk/bus, where they can find the answer and then be able to locate their nearest museum.
Director of the London Museums Hub, Jack Lohman, said, “We hope it will encourage Londoners to visit their local museums and enjoy the huge richness and diversity of London’s heritage.”
Peter Charlton, National Sales Director at CBS Outdoor added, “Wrapping buses gives advertisers an enormous creative canvas that reaches a large number of consumers on the move. This campaign is an effective way to demonstrate that consumers are never too far away from an interesting museum in the capital.”
