The Picture Production Company Group’s (PPC) new formed creative agency, has delivered its first project - 2 x 30” commercials to showcase Mitsubishi’s new 4x4 and passenger ranges. The spots will air for six weeks until mid-April.
Each commercial showcases three new cars against seasonal backdrops which change as the shot moves seamlessly from one car to the next.
Depending on the season, different elements – such as leaves, snow and blossom - fall in slow motion past each car.
The 4x4 spot features the L200, Shogun and the Outlander, while the passenger spot features the Colt Cabriolet, Colt 3 door and the all-new Lancer.
Mitsubishi approached Rushmore after PPC completed three sponsorship ident campaigns for them at the end of last year. Their brief was to create two complementary commercials that focus on promoting the brand attributes and showcasing the new Mitsubishi range.
“The finished commercials are simple yet stunning,” said Haydn Davies, marketing manager, Mitsubishi Motors.
“The team have succeeded in delivering a high standard of quality that reflects the premium look of the new models despite the tight turnaround.”
The shoot took place over six days, which meant shooting one car each day. “It was a very technical shoot as we had to project most of the reflections on the car which required shooting several passes to complete the final shot” explained Mark Daly, head of creative at Rushmore.
The whole project took seven weeks in total from concept to delivery.
