Client: Ford Focus
Pop video meets car advert!
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner Alesha Dixon is fronting an exclusive music video to run online to promote the launch of the new Ford Focus.
Inspired by the new car’s advertising campaign, the 90-second Alesha music video was broken online on ford.co.uk and on YouTube on in advance of the car’s launch.
Created by Cake, it features an orchestra playing instruments created entirely from car parts, accompanying Dixon on the as-yet-unreleased track ‘For You I Will’.
Recorded at Ford's technical centre in Essex, the Focus “instruments” include: a ‘Door Harp’ made from a front door and a ‘Clutch Guitar’ made from a power brake booster with the strap made from a seat belt.
Ford PR manager, Fiona Pargeter, said, “The Ford Focus instruments are so unique we wanted to do something really special to showcase them around the new Focus launch.
“The collaboration with Alesha gives our new Focus marketing campaign a huge amount of passion, energy and glamour and we’re really pleased with the final video.”
