Eve magazine offers a similar free gift to She magazine, another free novel. Playing Away by Adele Parks is a ‘chick lit’ read which will be popular with the magazine‘s readers. The £7.99 RRP of the novel is clearly displayed giving an added incentive and value for money drive to purchase.
Tatler magazine provides a 2008 restaurant review guide for its readers. As it is the beginning of the year the free gift provides readers with an insight into key places to wine and dine in the new year. The magazine is one of the key magazines for the high fashion industry, and the restaurant review guide will have similar appeal for an upmarket audience.
To highlight it’s prestige status and make it even more appealing as a sales promotion giveaway, it has been; sponsored by luxury champagne producer Louis Roederer.
Elle magazine provides a review guide to the new seasons fashion and looks, as a sales incentive. The magazine Elle is seen as the epitome of high fashion. Therefore they are most assuredly providing the best reviews for the seasons key trends. The guide aims to showcase new trends for the new upcoming S/S 2008 season and also the new year trends. Entitled ‘The Runway Edit’, the 76-page review is billed as ‘the best new catwalk looks’.
Prima has provided a free ‘brand new you’ magazine that aims to encourage healthier living along with a free hair cut and finish for every reader. Although there appears to be a limited availability of the styling promotion, as in small font the term, ‘subject to availability’ can be seen just below the promotional message. These offers highlight the beginning of the new year, as reader may wish to start the new year with a healthier outlook and new style.
