With the move to Terminal 5 just a few months away, British Airways’ new home makes its first appearance in the airline’s Christmas ad campaign.
The campaign, which makes use of outdoor, press and online sites, carries the tagline ‘Come together this Christmas’.
The ad, created by BBH, features a grandmother welcoming her grandchild at Terminal 5. Their shadow as they hug casts the shape of an aircraft on the terminal floor.
Head of brand and marketing communications for BA, Katherine Whitton, said, “We really wanted to get across the warmth of the season and to demonstrate how British Airways brings people together during the Christmas period. This simple, but effective ad does just that in a very visual way.
“It was also an excellent opportunity for us to use Terminal 5 for the first time in our advertising. The building is full of light and beautiful architectural features which lend themselves extremely well to creating advertising impact.”
