TV channel Setanta has launched a Christmas TV campaign featuring Des Lynam as "Setanta Claus".
Lynam wears a yellow Santa suit in his grotto and gives a Freeview box to a punter who wants live Barclays Premiership … but then gets distracted by the idea of puppies when he sees Santa’s scantily-clad helper ‘Tinseltoes’.
The ad aims to raise awareness of Setanta Sports’ pay-TV service on Freeview and promote its range of Setanta Freeview Subscription Packs available through high street electrical retailers.
The company's sports subscription packages include Barclays Premier League games, boxing and US PGA golf.
