If it’s all Spanish to you, here’s a note of explanation.
At the annual Ibero-American summit in Chile, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez launched a rant on former Spanish Prime Minister José Maria Aznar.
Spain's current prime minister, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, politely urged Chavez to tone it down and show some "respect."
Chavez just ignored Zapatero and kept talking even though his mike had been turned off.
At that point, the King of Spain, Juan Carlos, leaned over toward Chavez and loudly said, "Por que no te callas?"
Literal translation: "Why don't you shut up?"
Perhaps not the best exercise in diplomacy but it earned His Majesty a round of applause.
