Rock stars and supermodels’ favourite Roberto Cavalli is following in the footsteps of Stella McCartney and Victor and Rolf, with the latest designer line for global high street fashion chain H&M.
The 'Roberto Cavalli at H&M' collection will be marketed in the daily and monthly press and on billboards in an ad campaign shot by Terry Richardson. A commercial directed by Johan Renck will be shown on TV and at cinemas.
The collection will also be marketed via H&M's most important channel – H&M stores – and on H&M's website, hm.com, where there will also be a blog about the collaboration
A collection featuring some of Cavalli's signature pieces for women and men will be available in approximately 200 selected stores worldwide from November 8.
The womenswear colllection sees includes jackets and dresses as well as a range of accessories. The menswear line includes a tuxedo, trench coat and boots.
“Fashion is an expression of freedom. This collaboration with H&M allows me to give a gift to the young audience that loves what I do, and identifies with my creativity, but might not be able to own a Roberto Cavalli piece, “ said Cavalli.
“The collection I have designed for H&M contains all the elements of my signature Cavalli style, and is infused with glamour and joy.”
H&M’s head of design, Margareta van den Bosch, added, “We have admired his unique and exquisite craftsmanship for years, and just love his positive outlook on fashion. These pieces are made to feel fabulous and have fun in.”
