Tourism Ireland won two categories at the recent CIMTIG Travel Advertising Awards in London.
Managed by Deputy Head of Tourism Ireland GB, Vera Stedman and Marketing Communications Manager TI GB, David Wood, the ‘Discover Your Very Own Ireland’ series of TV commercials was awarded Best TV Campaign.
Outdoor and online work for St Patrick’s Day scooped the Most Innovative Use of Outdoor award.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group (CIMTIG) is the UK's leading industry focused marketing association for the UK travel industry and the CIMTIG Travel Advertising Awards are acknowledged as the highlight in the travel industry calendar.
Judged by some of the leading lights in the travel, creative and marketing industries the ceremony showcases the best and most innovative work across the sector over the last year.
This year’s awards saw the strongest competition to date with entries from Wieden & Kennedy, BBH, MCBD, RKCR/Y&R, and Partners Andrews Aldridge across brands which included: British Airways, Visit Wales, Virgin Atlantic and P&O Ferries.
JWT/RMG surpassed BBH, Wieden & Kennedy and MCBD in being short-listed for 4 awards - Best TV Campaign, Best Poster Campaign, Most Innovative Use of Outdoor, Best Online Interactive Ad.
There was double recognition for the ‘Find St Patrick’ campaign which, due to its innovative integrated Cross-Track and accompanying online element, was short-listed in both the ‘Best Poster Campaign’ and the ‘Most Innovative Use of Outdoor’ categories.
