Airtours first TV campaign in five years has been recognised in the Travel Advertising Awards.
Created by Didsbury based brand communications agency Clear Marketing , ‘You’ll Like Where We’re Going’ won silver for Best TV Campaign.
The Travel Advertising Awards from the CIMTIG (Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group) showcase the best and most innovative work across the sector.
The series of seven TV ads (30 and 10 second treatments) showcased Airtours’ new product development, destinations and service initiatives aiming to set the company apart from its competitors, encouraging consumers to take a fresh look at the package holiday.
Managing director of Clear Marketing, Jim Smith, said, “The ads for the holiday giant first aired last Christmas bringing to life the brand’s powerful new positioning. It was the brand’s biggest ever TV advertising campaign and marked a return to TV advertising for five years.
“The adverts were the result of in-depth research for the Airtours brand and a great deal of hard work, so it’s rewarding that this has been recognised with a travel industry award.”
The adverts were filmed on location in Mexico and China and were directed by Gerard De Thames films in conjunction with Clear Marketing Communications’ creative directors Tony Price and Chris Doyle. The adverts are narrated by Paul McGann.
