Client: British Dressage
British Dressage, the national governing body of Olympic and Paralympic sport of dressage, has developed a new web strategy optimising its web capabilities and achieving an online turnover of £100,000 in just two months.
British Dressage Ltd. has more than 13,000 members, 10,000 registered horses and it runs over 2,000 days of competition per year, which makes dressage the fastest growing Olympic equestrian discipline.
British Dressage deals with all matters related to running and administering the sport, including international representation.
Bit10 developed BritishDressage.co.uk from scratch and introduced a number of new functions, including online membership and horse registration. The sport’s governing body was keen to enable its members to have 24-hour access to key services.
Deputy Chief Executive at British Dressage, said, “We have seen a huge number of people go online and take advantage of those functions and the facilities they offer. Members now also have access to a lot of the data we hold such as results from competitions and horses’ history.
“Previously there was no simple way of researching such data so the new website has significantly improved the quality and speed of service to our members.”
Bit10 also helped create an online shop, which offers specific sports merchandise for the equestrian community.
Bagnall explains, “The online shop has helped us to significantly increase revenue – after just two months we generated £100,000 worth of online business. The online shop has had an enormous impact on our business.”
