British film director Ken Loach has been signed to take part in HMV's 'My Inspiration' campaign.
The campaign began with musicians, who select an inspirational song lyric.
Around fifty major artists have so far taken part over the past year, including David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Timbaland and Amy Winehouse.
Rather than selecting a piece of movie dialogue, Loach prefers prose by Bertolt Brecht from 'And I Always Thought', which he finds particularly inspirational.
The Ken Loach 'My Inspiration' ad will run in this weekend's press, and will feature a packshot of his film 'It's A Free World', which was released on DVD this week by Twentieth Century Fox.
The Ken Loach 'My Inspiration' follows last month's participation by Danny Boyle, who selected classic dialogue from 'Alien' as his most inspirational movie line.
