Client: M&S Womenswear
Marks & Spencer has launched its new Autumn / Winter 07 women’s wear collection with another striking TV campaign created by RKCR/Y&R.
Twiggy, Laura Bailey, Erin O’Connor and Noemie Lenoir are rejoined by Myleene Klass, as they board the legendary Orient Express, headed for Venice.
We see the women wearing items from the new collection, including lingerie and accessories, as they walk down the train’s richly panelled corridors, in the opulent dining car and in the luxuriously appointed cabins.
The TV ad closes on a shot of the women in a boat on one of Venice’s canals. The ad is set to “Look-a-There, Ain’t She Pretty” by The Charioteers.
Executive Director Marketing at Marks & Spencer Steve Sharp, said, “The backdrop of both the Orient Express and the beautiful city of Venice has added a whole new dimension to the campaign, which oozes chic, timeless style and luxury and is a perfect way to showcase our amazing Autumn and Winter collections.”
Incoming CEO at RKCR/Y&R, Richard Exon, added “I’ve long admired the M&S advertising and it has been great seeing our M&S team, headed by Mark Roalfe, create another visually stunning campaign that builds on the momentum of the previous work, whilst imbuing it with its own distinct seasonal style.”
The campaign comprises a 50” TV ad, poster and print.
