Carlsberg have launched their latest advert showing how great the world would be if only everything was as good as a Carlsberg.
The new karaoke ad features singing legend Bryan Ferry and forms part of Carlsberg’s £13 million media spend in 2007 managed by OMD.
It closes with the voiceover “Carlsberg don’t do karaoke nights, but if they did, they’d probably be the best karaoke nights in the world.”
Marketing Director at Carlsberg UK, Darran Britton, said, “Karaoke is another brilliant advert in the ‘World According to Carlsberg” campaign and we are sure that it will be a hit with lager drinkers across the country. Not many adverts can boast 25,000 extras and a music legend such as Bryan Ferry.”
Bryan Ferry added, “It was great to be part of Carlsberg’s latest ad campaigns. I love the concept and I had such a brilliant time making the ad – it would be fantastic if all karaoke experiences could be like this one”.
The ad was produced by Saatchi and Saatchi and directed by Vaughan Arnell. There will be 40 and 30 second versions running across all ITV networks, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Satellite channels.
