Harrods is to launch a new press campaign featuring work from legendary photographer, David Bailey.
During ‘Timeless Luxury’, Harrods reveals the unique and unexpected stories behind the world’s most coveted designers and innovators, and illustrates how our perception of luxury has evolved over the past century.
And to create an eye-catching array of images for Harrods latest and most exciting advertising since the award-winning British Tailoring Room campaign, the brief was ‘a contemporary spin on classic glamour and timeless sophistication’.
The campaign will include print and on-line advertisements featuring in the October edition of monthly titles such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Wallpaper as well as numerous supplements and internet sites including vogue.com and DailyCandy.
Head of Art Direction at Harrods, James Chittenden, said, “Because the campaign is about timeless luxury we chose David Bailey because of his stature as an iconic British photographer whose pictures typify ageless London sophistication”.
The shoot took place in three specific central London locations in just one day and featured models Tiiu and Martin Lowe (the former having appeared in the recent j’adore Dior campaign) and stylist, Fashion Director of BIG Mag Magazine, Allan Kennedy.
The entire shoot was also captured by a series of still photographs that will eventually form a behind-the-scenes style feature on the harrods.com/timelessluxury micro-site.
