Amazing computer-generated images of the human gut feature in a new ad for Yakult created by Euro RSCG London.
The 30-second TV ad travels deep into the digestive system of the human body – ‘Planet You’ – on an intensely magnified journey to the intestine walls, revealing the good and bad bacteria that live there.
Computer generated, it is one of the most scientifically accurate representations of the human intestines that has ever been shown on TV.
To ensure this level of accuracy, Euro RSCG London worked closely with research teams at the University of Reading and St Mark’s Hospital, Harrow.
The ad describes how the friendly Lactobacillus casei Shirota bacteria, found in Yakult, is scientifically proven to look after ‘Planet You’ by helping the beneficial bacteria living in your digestive system to multiply and thrive, encouraging a healthy gut and stronger natural defences.
The TV ad is voiced by Griff Rhys Jones and will run for six weeks from this week, alongside a print campaign.
Euro RSCG London CEO, Mark Cadman said: “The main objective of this campaign is to position Yakult as experts in the probiotic arena, boasting a scientifically proven, unique formula that genuinely helps to keep the body healthy.
“To do this, we jumped categories and broke away from the fruity yoghurt image that encompasses many of Yakult’s competitors to produce a campaign backed up by science.”
