Sony has made a 3D viral version of its iconic “Balls” campaign to celebrate its involvement in this year's Wimbledon Finals. Sony will film the finals events in 3D - a technological first in the tournament's 125 year history.
The ad, released today (June 15) sees thousands of bouncing tennis balls make their way through the streets of London.
The ad drives people to a dedicated website in which they can enter a competition to win one of five pairs of tickets to the Ladies Singles final on Saturday July 2, 2011.
Supporting activity includes a national press campaign, announcements on Facebook, Sony Centre activity and e-shots. Sony will also add an experiential element to the campaign by handing out 10,000 bounc3d.com branded tennis balls in London.
