Bic users do it better, according to a new tongue-in-cheek video for the men’s grooming brand. The ad shows freshly shaven men used as pucks in a game of human curling – with the winning man a Bic-user.
Created by French digital agency Buzzman, the video’s announcer happily reveals the whole thing is nothing more than advert for Bic. It launched in France and is currently being rolled out across Europe with supporting ads across YouTube and through Google.
At the end, viewers have the opportunity to Like Bic on Facebook, which then leads them to a local page complete with money-off vouchers, or, to play human curling themselves. It operates within YouTube and lets users direct their shaven man across the ice using their keyboard or webcam, which allows users to put themselves into the game.
Industry experts and bloggers are predicting the video and game could be the next social media hit in the same vein as the recent Old Spice campaign.
