Classifieds website Gumtree.com is launching a new campaign to highlight how quick and easy it is to use it to cash in on unwanted items.
The campaign, created by (Beta), will break on March 25 and will run across ITV, Five, C4 and Skymedia channels. The three executions aim to build on the success of the site’s first TV campaign earlier this year.
With the strapline ‘It’s local, it’s quick, and it’s free’ the TV spots include a couch being fired from a catapult, a pram bouncing from a trampoline and a car being lassoed by a speeding plane. Each scene ends with a bag of money landing in the arms of the person listing their unwanted item, illustrating the ease of selling your wares on Gumtree.com.
Recently smashing the 10 million visits per week milestone, Gumtree.com connects 13.7 million people across the UK to buy, sell, find or swap anything from cars, jobs, property, goods and services within their local neighbourhoods.
Sam Taylor from Gumtree.com said, “We are starting to see great traction from the ad campaigns and with improved regional functionality following last year’s re-launch, the national TV campaigns are a good way to communicate the speed and simplicity Gumtree.com offers.”
Garry Lace, founding partner, (Beta) added: "These new ads incorporate the sense of humour, warmth and directness of Gumtree, as well as being a brilliantly memorable way of showing just how easy it is to shift your stuff on the site.”
