Procter & Gamble has convinced the Old Spice Guy – also known as former NFL star Isaiah Mustafa – to don his towel once more and return for the fragrance’s latest campaign.
“Hello ladies” growls our suave hero “as well as men, mammals and beasts, and the might sequoias of the Redwood forest. As you can see, I’ve returned. It’s not because I forgot my jacket.”
He then goes on to explain that he is back to remind people using Old Spice will make men smell “as fresh as the freshest place on earth”. He goes on to remind viewer of this previous ads that, he says, had an “entertainment value that is second to none.”
He then urges viewers to reminisce about those ads by starring deeply in to his “striking brown eyes”. “You can’t get past the striking brown eyes, can you?” he boosts as the camera closes in. The new ads will be aired in the US from February 7 after being launched in the Facebook page of an as yet unnamed “super fan”.
This latest burst aims to build on the buzz created by the original The Man Your Man Could Smell Like ads, which ran last year.
