The Rare Tea Co. is launching a viral ad campaign created by creative agency Watermill starring comedian Alexander Armstrong.
Founder and chief tea-lady Henrietta Lovell first created the tea blend for Battle of Britain veteran Terry Clark, but in celebration of this year’s 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain it is being launched nationwide in Sainsbury’s.
The three viral ads feature Alexander Armstrong of Armstrong & Miller fame, talking to camera in the style of a 1940's information film.
With stirring footage of spitfires in action and cannons being fired on the battlefield, Armstrong urges us all to do what is right and seek out a tin of RAF Tea – “Drink RAF Tea and stand up for our chaps who shot all those Fokkers out of the skies”.
10% of the price paid goes to the RAF Association Wings Appeal repaying just a little of what so many of us owe to so few, and to support the RAF Museum protecting their heroic past. Inside some tins are also winning golden tickets. Prizes include a year's worth of free tea and a flight in a spitfire.
