Shaving cream company The Bluebeards Revenge has released a viral marketing campaign that sees video footage of a close shave with a lion that goes horribly "wrong."
Within hours of The Bluebeard's Revenge launching its spoof lion attack – filmed at Dartmoor Zoo - concerned viewers had already posted comments querying whether the footage was real.
The footage stars Bedford Blues rugby player Sacha Harding, who recently won a national media competition launched by The Bluebeard's Revenge, to find Britain's "manliest man".
The tongue-in cheek "news" clip, which is just under four minutes long, reports on how a publicity stunt to promote the brand went devastatingly wrong, after Mr Harding was challenged to a shaving contest by a marine, while "hungry" Dartmoor Zoo lion, Solomon, looks on.
The viral footage was created by Adrian Butterworth at Adelia.
