Oxford based web design and digital marketing agency - Obergine – has created a campaign and competition website for Cono Sur Wines’ Green Cooks Search campaign.
To help showcase Cono Sur Wines’ status as one of the world’s most sustainable wineries, the Chilean winery has launched the Cono Sur Green Cooks Search - an online competition to find the UK’s most environmentally-friendly home cook.
The competition aims to highlight the affinity between Cono Sur Wines and sustainable cooking by rewarding “green cooks”, a term coined by Cono Sur Wines to describe those who produce food that not only matches Cono Sur Wines’ wines in terms of taste, but also its sustainability ethos, by using home-grown, organic or ethically sourced ingredients.
The Cono Sur Green Cooks Search campaign website at conosurgreencooks.com allows Britain’s eco-minded home cooks to upload recipes, photos and videos of their favourite green recipes and gain green cooking tips and insights via the website blog.
The website design embraces organic and home-made themes by incorporating traditional Polaroid photo frames around photography of recipes and chefs coupled with the use of scripted fonts on paper.
Recipes entered into the competition are matched to wines from the Cono Sur Wines range of Carbon Neutral wines and a weekly winner is selected by a competition judging panel that includes some of Britain’s top eco-chefs.
The judges includes Michelin-starred chef Paul Merrett of The Victoria in West London, Jamie Grainger-Smith, co-founder of London’s first eco-restaurant Acorn House and Barny Houghton, the award-winning chef and founder of the Bordeaux Quay restaurant and cookery school in Bristol
The chef partners are also contributing their favourite sustainable recipes to the campaign and have published their recipes on the website.
The Cono Sur Green Cooks Search campaign website can be found at conosurgreencooks.com.
