Fallon has recreated the faces of iconic artists using hundreds of pieces of memorabilia for a TV campaign to support Radio 2’s Electric Proms.
The work, which launched this week, uses stop-frame animation to show the faces of headline acts Elton John, Robert Plant and Neil Diamond being created out of memorabilia that represents their each artist’s journey to date. There will also be individual TV trails for ‘A Night with…’.
The Electric Proms kick off on October 28 and will be broadcast on consecutive Saturday nights on BBC Two along with exclusive programming for each artist. There will also be red button and online content.
Each artist has also loaned memorabilia to the BBC to create an exhibition and an online gallery, where anyone can upload a picture of their own memorabilia.
Fallon chief executive, Gail Gallie, said; “This is always such an exciting event, and we are always really thrilled to be part of it. The campaign captures all of that excitement in a really fresh and original way“.
