Story Worldwide, the global content marketing agency, has partnered with luxury retailer Bicester Village to create an interactive ‘Timeless’ website celebrating the outlet shopping centre’s 15th anniversary.
Story Worldwide’s brief was to create an interactive and innovative online experience for Bicester Village, built around fashion classics such as the ones available at the shopping outlet. To mark the occasion, eighteen brands and designers represented in the Village have nominated one ‘timeless’ piece from their collections.
To capture this moment in time these items have been photographed by Vogue and styled in an interactive online exhibition, curated by legendary fashion aficionado Colin McDowell MBE.
Story Worldwide has a huge amount of premium retail experience, working with brands including Agent Provocateur, Estée Lauder, Fabergé, Lexus, Lulu Guinness and the Austrian shoe retailer, Humanic. Shoppers and on-line enthusiasts are able to upload comments and post their own photographs of their favourite ‘timeless’ pieces on the dedicated ‘Timeless’ website, designed especially for the anniversary campaign.
They are also able to bid for exclusive ‘timeless’ pieces, kindly donated by Anya Hindmarch, Matthew Williamson, Alice Temperley, Mulberry and many more. New auction pieces will be uploaded to the site each week and all profits will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, the nominated charity for the anniversary celebrations.
Jim Boulton, UK Deputy MD of Story Worldwide, says; “Bicester Village is a fantastic shopping experience, bursting with great brands and it’s our job to make sure we create an online experience that does it justice. Most people find out about it from a friend in the know and it was natural to harness this buzz using online social tools. The content rich online experience is therefore augmented by user generated content across the social web, making use of Facebook and Ebay APIs.
"The result is a rich, constantly evolving web presence that encourages participation but equally can be enjoyed passively by those who just want to window shop.” The celebration pays tribute to all that is timeless and classic at Bicester Village, which houses over 130 designer boutiques, offering up to 60% off previous season’s collections all year round."
