Agency: Thinking Juice
Client: Wyke Farms
Wyke Farms, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, has launched the first broadcast advert in their autumn advertising campaign.
The advert will tell the true story of Wyke Farms’ extensive heritage and is the start of a media campaign that will include national TV and print advertising.
This latest investment into mass media promotional activity aims to demonstrate the companies’ commitment to brand growth and further cements their position as the leading farmhouse cheddar brand.
This autumn’s campaign is the largest yet for Somerset based Wyke Farms who plan to reach over 4.5 million ABC1 housewives with both the 30-second television advert and the print campaign.
The advert entitled ‘Stan remembers’ features the true story of Stan Graves, 84, who wrote to the Clothier family at Wyke Farms in July 2009 with his memories of the family and working on the farm in the 1940’s.
Stan was sent there at the age of 15 during the Second World War to work on the farm as a land boy. The advert, which was all filmed on the farm in Somerset, demonstrates the brands true traditional farmhouse cheese maker roots that have stood the test of time.
The print campaign will appear in the Daily Mail, Women and Home, BBC Good Food and Good Housekeeping throughout October (November dated issues).
