The Early Learning Centre is launching a collectible swamp monster range of toys called Swampsterz aimed at 3-7 year-olds and has extended its relationship with integrated marketing agency Milton Bayer, whose digital division has conceived and just built a new website for the product range.
The new figures are being launched as part of Early Learning Centre’s strategy to enagage a broader demographic of children. The crazy-coloured, fiendish 5” high Swampsterz hit the shelves in August and there are 16 different toys to be collected from four teams of ‘Muncherz, Stomperz, Pincherz and Crawlerz’. Creatures like Slythe, Thunder-Jaw, Grapple-Arm and Scuttle.
There’s also a voice changer, disc shooter and swamp gobbler to support the range The new website, where children can be inspired to create back-stories about the muddy, smelly habits of the bog monsters, has just gone live with ‘monster’ voice-over by Guy Harris.
The site hosts an interactive hide ’n’ seek game, a ‘whack the Swampsterz’ game and a ‘build your own’ monster page. In order that children aren’t spending all their time online they can also download a whole host of Swampsterz goodies like word searches, colouring/drawing packs, wallpapers and avatar packs.
For full access to the site young users will first need to register before they can personalise their profile, manage their own Swampsterz ‘trophy cabinet’ and generally bring the characters to life.
