The FA Umbro Fives tournament campaign has launched through a team recruitment film, supported by online advertising.
The FA Umbro Fives is the only 5-a-side football competition with a Wembley final.
To highlight this, Dare has created a recruitment film featuring a fictional character, Dave Bloke. The film shows how Bloke became a Wembley Legend by scoring a hat trick in The FA Umbro Fives final.
Stealing the limelight from Michael Owen, another Wembley Legend, Bloke’s rise to stardom is shown, from post-match press conference with Tim Lovejoy to the launch of his own aftershave, ‘Bloke for Men’.
The film finishes with the line, ‘Become a Wembley Legend’, and asks people to sign up.
The campaign will be driving traffic to the new FA Umbro Fives website where players can register their team and are then encouraged to take part in a banter competition on Facebook through the tournament.
“This is a wonderful tongue and cheek way to get amateur footballers to enter The FA Umbro Fives Tournament. Anyone can now become a Wembley Legend’,” said Charlie Boss of The FA.
