SodaStream is making a welcome return with a national TV ad campaign - it's first in twenty years.
SodaStream has always been famous for its iconic ads, featuring legendary comedian Tommy Cooper in the seventies and the 'get busy with the fizzy' jingle in the eighties which was sung in households across the nation.
The new TV SodaStream's return to the supermarket shelves and its set to get everyone who remembered it the first time round and their kids excited this summer.
The ad captures the huge fondness that people have for SodaStream; featuring a series of tongue-in-cheek vignettes of people reflecting on their 'loss' that SodaStream had all-but disappeared amplified by the dramatic soundtrack "Without You" and narrated with a celebrity voiceover.
The mood during the ad swiftly changes to overwhelming joy and celebration at the news that their beloved SodaStream is back.
The ad, directed by award-winning Aviv Maaravi, features a 200-strong cast and crew with 1380 wardrobe items between them.
The TV campaign is part of a wider marketing push bringing a revamped SodaStream to a new generation of families.
A range of modern drinksmakers is matched with a line-up of new flavours from fruit varieties and diet versions to energy and lightly flavoured essences (MyWaters).
"This feels like a great time to bring SodaStream back - it offers families good value for money, great-tasting flavours, a greener way to enjoy soft drinks and above all brings the fun back to the summer. It's time to get busy with the fizzy all over again!,” said Fiona Hope from SodaStream.
