Philips has kicked off a new three year global campaign highlighting is ‘obsession with sound’ to its new audio range.
The consumer electronics giant has created three films featuring its sound heroes - music Producer Steve Lilywhite, who formed the sound of U2; music engineer Geoff Foster, whose alternative approach to the Batman Begins soundtrack made it unforgettable; and Benjamin Herman, famous saxophonist who used an old classic sax to create his album ‘Blue Sky Blond’, for the ultimate authentic sound.
The campaign features Philips experts and sound engineers who analyze the way people perceive sound using the art of ‘psychoacoustics’ to craft the sound experience. They also use knowledge of how digital sound signals are processed to develop groundbreaking patents and products.
Sound has always been a big part of Philips heritage - from bringing radio to the masses to creating the first ever Compact Disc and developing 250 essential patent families within its audio portfolio. This campaign and raft of new products build on this expertise and showcase how Philips delivers authentic sound through groundbreaking technology.
