Agency: Tribal DDB
Client: Tourism Australia
Tourism Australia has finally launched its new global advertising campaign, although the reception has been much like the weather down under at the moment – frosty.
DDB was awarded the multi-million dollar creative account last July and has been given the task of coming up with an international advertising campaign that will span over the next 10 years.
Pity the ad isn’t well liked by Aussies then. For a full analysis and commentary on the latest failing from Tourism Australia click here.
Meanwhile, Tourism Australia and Qantas have teamed up to attract more tourists to Australia in 2010.
Under a three-year $44 million (£25.4m) partnership, the tourism body and national flag carrier will cooperate on international marketing campaigns, major trade events, business events and public relations activities.
The partnership, which Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy described as "critical to the future of tourism growth", will see joint campaigns run across Europe, Asia, US and New Zealand.
