CHI&Partners have launched a new £10M campaign for Anchor Butter, celebrating the heritage of Britain’s oldest butter brand and the fact that it has been Made by Cows since 1886.
Set to the tune of Guns N’ Roses ‘Paradise City’, albeit a rustic country style cover, the 40sec creative plays on the ‘Made by Cows’ theme in a literal sense, showing a tongue in cheek day in the life of the Anchor Butter cows making butter in the Anchor dairy.
From clocking on in the morning, queuing at grass-dispensing vending machines for lunch, to driving forklifts and packing the delivery van, the humorous Stylewar directed commercial provides big entertainment value that will appeal to viewers of all ages.
“The new TV ad takes the brand in a very different direction, which will undoubtedly generate consumer excitement in the brand, reminding them of Anchor’s heritage and the reasons they purchase Anchor Butter,” said Anchor Senior Brand Manager, Mike Walker.
The 40sec commercial runs to August 2010 and will be supported by cinema, posters, press, POS and digital, with the visuals crafted in a style reminiscent of the illustrated wall painting murals from the turn of the century.
