Pouwf!...and just like that, a new advertising campaign for Goodfella’s Pizza appears - created by Mother London.
The campaign stars The Pizza Fairy - the ultimate pizza expert - who will spend the next year helping the culinary challenged to discover the delights of Goodfella’s Pizzas.
The Pizza Fairy, a fast talking Italian-American waiter (with wings and a wand), is summoned by the phrase ‘I could really go a pizza’, takes your order and “Pouwf!” delivers you a delicious Goodfella’s pizza.
He will initially star in three ads. In the first ad he’s inadvertently summoned to the dinner table of a family disappointed with this evening’s culinary effort from Mum.
The dumbstruck family take a moment to get their heads round why an irascible Italian-American waiter (with wings and a wand) had just appeared in their kitchen, but soon – Pouwf! Pouwf! - they’ve ordered a pair of delicious looking Goodfella’s pizzas.
Getting carried away they try to add beer (the Dad), salad (the Mum) and a pony (the little girl) to their order, so the Pizza Fairy has to explain that he’s the Pizza Fairy, so no salad, no beer – oh go on, maybe a pony…
Pouwf! - a white pony wearing a tiara appears next to the table. The little girl claps her hands in delight.
The ad ends with the line: “Goodfella’s. The only pizza recommended by the Pizza Fairy”
The three 30-second executions will be accompanied by two 10-second cut downs.
“We are justly proud of the Pizza Fairy and believe he can show us all the way to perfectly cooked pizza that will satisfy any family dinner,” said marketing director at Northern Foods, Kevan Mallinder.
