MCBD is launching the next phase of its ‘Eyeballs’ campaign for Vision Express, with two TV ads featuring a synchronised choreographed display of 225 people with eyeballs for heads.
‘Expertise’, shows the eyeballs carrying out a variety of moves in perfect synchronisation to celebrate the complexity of eyes.
In another spot, entitled ‘30 Days’, the eyeball characters wear giant glasses which continually change colour and shape to highlight that Vision Express is the only optician providing a 30 day exchange guarantee.
Both spots use a specially designed cueing system, developed by production company Hijinx, to ensure the cast who were all 5ft 9 reacted accurately to the highly intricate timings required.
After the CGI animation was completed, each of the 225 grid positions were output to a circuit board which then sent individual signals to each performer.
The campaign hopes to demonstrate that Vision Express is different by striving to provide the best customer experience, and the highest levels of service and expertise.
The TV activity will be supported by a press campaign in February.
