Client: Glasses Direct
Glasses Direct, the UK’s largest online glasses retailer has launched its first ever TV advertising campaign across a number of channels.
The adverts will air across a mix of digital terrestrial and multichannel satellite channels and are designed to promote the company’s powerful combination of value, expert service, convenience and choice.
The DRTV ads will run during daytime hours, to coincide with the Glasses Direct customer service helpline hours so new customers can access their team of opticians.
Glasses Direct has appointed direct specialists MNC to buy media, with Karmarama as the creative agency and their partner, Kream producing the advert.
The launch of the campaign follows a second round of VC investment in April this year, which saw the business receive £10m from an international syndicate of blue chip investors.
“As the leading online retailer of prescription glasses, we’re effectively driving the entire category and TV is a powerful way to do this,” said Glasses Direct Head of Marketing, Chris Simpson.
“It will still be as accountable as any other acquisition channel so we’ll be measuring and optimising from day one. We look forward to seeing the results.”
