Agency: King James, South Africa
Client: Allan Gray Investments
What if film legend James Dean had not died so tragically in a car accident in 1955?
What kind of a life might he have gone on to lead?
Well, South African agency, King James, thinks it has the answer.
In a new advert for financial-services company Allan Gray, it recreates the star’s life as it might have been.
The actor used, trained for months, wore heaps of prosthetics and was always filmed in soft focus without close-ups
The agency also pulled out all the stops to use a replica 550 RSK Porsche Spyder - one of only two available - to shoot the ‘accident’ scene.
With celebrities two a penny in the current climate, it’s still nice to see a real legend at work.
And what if Michael Jackson or Elvis aren't as dead as we think? The mind boggles...
