Makers of LED Sheep and Diesel XXX, The Viral Factory, have put their heads together to find some of the internet’s best loved clips and create a mash up viral to excite the online community about the upcoming launch of Blur – a major new game being released by Bizarre Creations through Activision.
Blur is an accessible, energized racing game which combines realism and power-ups for an enjoyable and frantic gaming experience.
The Viral Factory’s film evolved from the joy of ‘powered up’ racing, so to show just how brilliant the game will be, the team trawled the internet for famous internet clips each of which embody the human effect of the games' power-ups: Shock, Shunt, Barge, Nitro and Mines, and cut them to a specially commissioned track.
The result is a mash-up, which conveys the sheer enjoyment of playing the game itself and deliberately fits right in with the mash up loving YouTube world.
The viral will stand out from the other internet compilations because the footage, track and balls-out attitude make it the best of the bunch - in just over a week the clip has already had 306,000 views.
“Unusually for us we never picked up a camera to make this piece, but the skill has been in finding the right elements and mixing them in a way which still feels true to the internet tonality, rather than making a TV or advertising type compilation,” said Viral Factory founder, Ed Robinson.
