Client: Jack Russell Clothing
This ad was strategically placed in the sports pages in the Daily Telegraph on the day Ireland were to play Scotland.
Good timing and nice positioning.
But come on folks, can we talk about the creative?
We'd expect something like this to have been designed in-house, not by an agency.
Bad creative is not 'ironic', it's just bad. A poorly produced ad reflects badly on the product it sells.
Expect punters to pay £20 for a T-shirt from a shoddy ad like this? Not likely.
They'd need to have more money than sense, which is quite possibly what the client was thinking when he received Smarter's invoice.
