Once a year Europe is caught up in a world of musical madness better known as the Eurovision Song Contest.
It’s characterised more by mad madcap costumes and dancers rather than the songs themselves. Green sequined gimps, dancing dwarves, homoerotic Roman centurions… you get the picture.
But not so this year for Blighty. We’re pinning our hopes for victory on West End royalty with a stripped down gutsy ballad penned by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Webber.
Entitled, ‘It’s My Time’, singer and rising star Jade Ewan will be hoping it’s just that.
Will it be ‘douze points’ or a big fat zero for the UK? Decide for yourself.
