Stannah 'Tidy Up'

People are living longer than ever before, and new research has highlighted that staying independent and in your home would make a huge difference to their lives.

Outside of their own family, Stannah was identified as a commercial brand that people trust to help them stay in their own home.  

This new TV spot has been made to highlight the caring nature of the brand, but delivers it with humour and character.

The TV ads were directed by Paul Weiland who has been directing award winning commercials for over 20 years including commercials for Hamlet Cigars, Heineken, British Telecom, Levis 501, Carlsberg, Walkers and Coca Cola.

‘Tidy Up’ features a woman busily preparing for her local Stannah Engineer to service her husband’s stairlift. To the bemusement of her husband, his wife has baked an array of cakes in anticipation of the Engineer’s arrival. On first name terms with the Engineer, the commercial impresses that Stannah provides a friendly, tailored service, a process that can be under taken without concern.

‘Shapes and Sizes’ intimately observes the relationship between Stannah and their clients. The spot sees a Stannah Sales Representative taking the measurements of their home in order to fit a new stairlift. As the Stannah representative joins in the joke about the customer’s height, it highlights the caring nature of the brand.

The 10-second ‘Shapes and Sizes’ ad features the husband enjoying his stairlift once it has been installed. As the chair smoothly ascends the staircase, he jokingly mimics a tour guide explaining the layout of their home. His wife, the dry counterpart to her husband’s playful humour, remarks that tea and biscuits will be served downstairs. The confident and relaxed manner in which the couple have accepted the stairlift into their home, effectively showcases how Stannah can help people to remain independent in their homes.

The press ads compliment the TV commercials by highlighting Stannah’s products and services and featuring happy customers at ease after having experienced Stannah’s dependable service.
