Agency: Golley Slater
Client: National Grid
It may not be the most exciting advert to break on Christmas day, but this offering is none the less important.
The campaign, funded by the independent distribution networks of National Grid, Northern Gas and Wales and West, is designed to alert the public to phone a dedicated number if they smell gas.
Campaign will also break on large format outdoor sites from December 29 across north London.
"The TV commercials focus on various giant noses sniffing the air", says Andy Walton, managing director of Golley Slater Advertising.
"The large sniffing noses underpin the need to call the Emergency Gas number if they smell gas".
"The simplicity of the TV commercials will certainly stand-out on TV in the Christmas and New Year 'Sale Season'", added Walton.
The TV campaign will air from December 25 on Central, Granada, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees, Border, HTV and West Country TV regions and will run into January 2009.
