Just two months after relaunching its G.O.L.D comedy channel, UKTV is sprucing up the channel’s idents for Christmas.
Red Bee Media has created a set of four tongue-in-cheek Christmas themed idents, a new navigational kit, and programme promos running through the festive period.
Continuing its ‘mind-map’ concept Red Bee Media created for UKTV Gold's rebrand to G.O.L.D. in early October, the Christmas branding incorporates fairy lights, sprigs of mistletoe, crackers, Christmas puddings smothered in custard, baubles, and holly into the G.O.L.D. identity.
Ruth Shabi, Group Creative Director, Red Bee Media comments: “The combination of humorous animated graphics and a catchy soundtrack help to communicate the spirit of a G.O.L.D. comedy Christmas, whilst staying true to the new G.O.L.D. brand identity.”
UKTV is midway through an ambitious rebrand of its entertainment line-up, Watch, G.O.L.D. and alibi, and will next focus on its factual offerings, rebranding UKTV Documentary as Eden, UKTV People as Blighty and UKTV History as Yesterday in Q1 2009.
