The blurb accompanying the latest advert for ghd is as understated as the 60-second TV spot itself.
“Four stunning women in unbelievably empowering scenarios” discover a newfound confidence and belief in the power of ghd, all the while appearing to be under a hair-appliance induced spell.
The ‘See the light’ ad, which was film in South Africa, features four girls and four “enchanting, provoking and tempting” scenarios leading up to a final scene where each of the models is “empowered” after discovering their true beauty.
“Our customers go to great lengths to tell us that ghd has changed their lives. The new campaign celebrates this miracle and invites women to join the new religion for hair’” says Sarah Lambley, group marketing director for ghd.
The campaign was created by TBWA\Manchester broke on November 17 and will span UK and Australian TV, international press and online, as well as see ghd be the official sponsor for the second series of chick-lit turned TV series Lipstick Jungle.
