Photographed at night, the athletes featured in Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam new print campaign for Nike ACG look like they have been caught in the headlights.
Using a powerful flash photographer Mark Zibert shot riders from Team ACG deep in the Canadian backcountry at night.
A hare trigger was used to light up each scene the instant before the shot is taken, an approach used in wildlife photography.
The campaign tries to capture the ease with which each of the athletes cope with the harsh terrain.
Art director Pierre Janneau said, “The athletes that explore the back country are a new species at the frontier of riding… and to get a glimpse of what they are doing, you need to be out there with them.”
