Avenue A | Razorfish has been chosen by Speedo to lead the company into its first ever digital campaign: www.speedo80.com
The 80th anniversary work marks a significant departure from the more traditional marketing activities usually associated with the international swimwear brand.
The work focuses on the Speedo heritage as well as promoting their products, such as Olympic champion Michael Phelps’s Fastskin LXR Racer suit, and charitable causes connected to the brand.
Speedo’s Chief Digital Officer, Lisa McSorley, said, “As with everything Speedo undertakes, the new campaign has to make the brand relevant to the lives of our audience.
“With more and more of our consumers moving on from more traditional marketing approaches, there has never been a better time for Speedo to move into the ‘digital pool’.”
Avenue A | Razorfish will be responsible for all media planning and buying, as well as rich media, PPC and display for the pan-European campaign, which will run throughout Germany, Italy and the UK until mid October.
