Client: Marks and Spencer
Marks & Spencer has unveiled the first of the new series of food TV ads to coincide with the launch of new M&S Italian range this month.
The new TV ad marks the next step in the now legendary M&S advertising campaigns, with an emphasis on restaurant quality food to enjoy at home – as the credit crunch bites and consumers consider eating out less.
The first ad for the autumn season shows top quality ingredients being lovingly prepared and slowly cooked to make an authentic Italian risotto, until the twist is revealed that the dish is actually an M&S prepared meal.
New celebrities will also feature in the voice-overs ofr the new ads. The first ad will use the instantly recognisable voice of David Jason; the well-loved actor was chosen for his universal appeal with the British public.
Executive Director of Marketing at Marks & Spencer, Steve Sharp, says, “From the free range eggs in all our fresh pasta to using sustainable salmon for our new Seafood Lasagne, we are underlining the trust shoppers can have in the quality of M&S food.
“The first ad highlights our new Italian range which perfectly illustrates the lengths M&S goes to offer quality, provenance and innovations behind all our food at outstanding value.”
