Here is a new spoof ad created by York university graduate Brodie Harkness, which plays on the “a best a man can get strapline.
The hilarious campaign sees a grandma take to her grandson’s Gillette shaver and shaving cream to tackle her rather apparent moustache - the new strapline, “a best a nan can get.”
Harkess saidBrodie said, “It is fantastic to win a Chip in this category. My advert isn’t really your average Gillette TV commercial - I wanted it to stand out in a way that would raise an eyebrow and a few laughs from both male and female audiences.
“It was a lot of fun to produce and hopefully it shows the breadth of ideas MezzoFilms can bring to life.”
The spoof campaign, produced by MezzoFilms, has taken home a Chip Shop award earlier last month in Edinburgh.
Chip Shop Awards recognise creativity and great ideas and, unlike other awards schemes, it has no boundaries or rules. Entries are encouraged from creatives and students whose work may not normally be showcased as advertising or design campaigns or through other awards.
