Agency: McCann Erickson London
McCann Erickson London has created a new advertising campaign to build awareness for the wide breadth of Back to School stationery available at Staples.
The campaign, which consists of TV, radio and press, highlights the delight children take in their stationery to illustrate the range available at Staples.
The TV commercial opens in a classroom with a young girl asking her friend whether she can borrow a pen.
The second girl reels off a list of pens which rather bedazzles the first girl who decides to opt for a pen that turns into a pencil only to have the second girl reel off a list of pencils she could lend her instead. The first girl gives up in despair.
The ad then cuts to show the array of products available and the voice over talks about the five for £1 offer in store and then finishes with the Staples Easy Button.
The campaign runs for one week with media targeting mums with kids. It will be backed up by national radio and both national and regional press.
Directed by Max Myers and written by Matt Crabtree and Simon Hepton.
