Channel 4 Education is to launch a series of ‘Insiders’ stories live.
These new online comedy dramas will unfold over 12 weeks revealing the inner workings of six very different professions; a doctor, teacher, police officer, actress, musician, and fashion assistant offering a virtual tool guide into their world of work.
This is being positioned as a careers information project with a difference. Based on blogs from real professionals the stories reveal detail that general careers’ guidance will fail to.
What does the policeman really think of stop and search, what is it like to be in the front line of A&E, how does the teacher cope with constant monitoring, what does it feel like to be an ‘out-of-work’ actress, what does a fashion assistant eat for lunch and do musicians always throw tantrums?
Six whistle blowers who've been there, seen it and done it, and are ready to tell all about their chosen careers. Blurring the boundaries between fact and fiction, ‘The Insiders’ is an upfront, funny and honest account of the world of work.
MySpace is the exclusive social networking partner for the project, where users can go to meet the cast, ask them questions, follow their stories and even become their friend.
The story begins from Monday July 14, 2008 on www.myspace.com/insiderjob and on insiderjob.co.uk
